Pricing/FAQ’s
A deposit of $500 is required to hold your position on the waitlist.
Puppies are $2500. You may pay your deposit via pay apps such as Venmo, PayPal, Zelle or Good Dog but the remaining balance of $2000 must be paid in cash at pick up when puppies are 8 weeks old. The only exception to this is Good Dog. We will allow the deposit and the balance be paid through their services.
You must return a completed application to be put on the waiting list. Your position on the list determines the order in which you will choose your puppy. For example, if your name is 1st on the list for a male puppy, you will have 1st pick of the males in that litter.
All puppies are sold with a limited AKC registration. This means you can not breed your puppy. We do offer full breeding rights but you must have completed the necessary OFA tests (Orthopedic foundation of Animals) as recommended by the Golden Retriever club of America and the puppy must have reached 2 years of age. At the time of this article that includes OFA eyes, OFA advanced cardiac (Echo) OFA hips and OFA elbows. Once those tests are completed and the results are provided to us we will offer to change the registration from limited to full breeding rights for an additional fee of $1500.00
We feel like this process works well for both the health of the breed and the purchasing family. This allows the family to purchase a puppy at a lower pet home cost and if the puppy passes the tests, then they pay the full rights fee versus paying the higher full breeding rights price upfront and not knowing if the puppy will pass. This also prevents breeding of a dog that is too young or that hasn’t been tested.
All puppies come with a 2-year health guarantee that is detailed in the puppy application.
Dog Food – Diet Associated Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a serious health concern for golden retrievers around the world. The FDA has recommended only feeding from 5 brands that have a veterinarian nutritionist on staff. These brands have had zero cases of diet Associated Dilated Cardiomyopathy diagnosed. The brands are Iams, Eukanuba, Purina Pro Plan, Royal Canin and Hills. If you chose to feed your puppy a brand other than these 5 listed, you void your heart health guarantee. We feed all of our breeding dogs Royal Canin or Purina Pro Plan. And always look for the large breed formulas. The calcium in large breed formula dog food is very controlled to slow their growth. A puppy getting too much calcium will have faster growth and this will compromise their joints. Hip and Elbow dysplasia can be caused by fast growth among other environmental conditions.
We offer to flight nanny your puppy if needed. Arrangements need to be made prior to the puppies being 8 weeks of age, so that the flight can happen immediately after puppy has turned 8 weeks old. Otherwise, they will no longer fit in the carrier required to fly in cabin. The price for this service varies greatly depending on airline and location.
All of our breeding dogs are OFA CHIC certified and have had full genetic testing completed. They were either imported by us, retained from a litter we raised or out of direct import parents. They are 100% English bloodlines and have no American Golden in their pedigrees.
